The place I boarded at in Las Vegas required that all horses
be vaccinated against rabies. If you chose not to have your
horse done, it was done for you per the boarding contract
and you were charged for it. They didn't take any chances
and I for one appreciated that fact. They also charged you
for annual shots if you chose not to get those done for your
horse. They kept a very rigid schedule of shots and
worming. To some, that might seem a bit extreme. There are
some things that must be done regardless of the absentee
owner.
