I was having my kids do that with their BMX bikes for a while. There is a
seasonal creek in our pasture and they were thrilled to be able to jump and
race around the field. We had to call a halt to it though when my yearling
decided he WAS a BMX bike too. He would run beside them, up and over all the
jumps and whoop-dee-doos they built, and if horses can grin, he was...big
time. I decided the possibility of an over exuberant buck & kicks was a
little too dangerous and called a halt to the Extreme Games that were
happening in my own pasture (dogs in hot pursuit as well -- eeeek!). The
whole thing was a huge circus. Bottom line though, he sure isn't afraid of
bikes -- he thinks he IS a bike. The other funny thing is that my non-horsey
12 year old son, Graham, thinks Chance is totally cool and plans on riding
him someday (we'll see about that :)
