Having campaigned for years with a stallion, I always set up my

rain) so I can see my horse without having to get up. >>
Yup, that's pretty much how I've been doing it (except when I can mooch from
my friends with the motorhome :) I sleep in the back of my Suburban though
and I'm right there next to my horse which has been a blessing a couple of
times. Harca likes to back up and kind of rest his rear end as close to the
bumper as he can. He is RIGHT there when I want to check on him! I have
also caught loose horses on several occasions (their owners were snoring away
in their blasted (oops, jealousy showing) campers or motorhomes). A friend
of mine with a motorhome once told me how lucky I was that when I got home
from a ride I didn't have to deal with all the cleaning, draining, filling,
etc. of a motorhome. I think she was just trying to be nice and make me feel
better about my "deprivation" :)) I am looking forward to the day I have my
truck and camper. I think I'll feel just fine about leaving the door open a
crack so I can hear the horses. Kat, you are much tougher than I am.....I
don't know how you survived the Outlaw Trail without the "amenities". I
NEEEEEDED that motorhome at the end of each day!!
