This may be a little out of context but seemed appropriate nonetheless.
Someone once told me that horses in the wild have much fewer and less
significant health problems than captive horses because they instinctively
learn to forage for whatever they need for whatever ails them. Whereas
captive horses need vet care and medication because they can't get at WHAT
they need WHEN they need it naturally...makes perfect sense to me. :)
