One of the worst Idaho forest fires in recent history was set just this
way--not with a horse trailer, but with a car in tow behind a large motor
home. A tire on the car had gone flat, and it was traveling on the rim
throwing sparks. Another traveler followed this rig for several miles along
a winding river road, unable to pass and unable to honk the motor home down,
as the sparks ignited the dry grasses along the side of the road and the fire
began spreading up the steep mountainside.
