Mountain bikers

Hi, Campers,

You must have a better mannered bunch of bikers than we have here in Olympia, 
WA. I live near the Capitol Forest. There's an area set aside specifically 
and ONLY for bikers, but what do they do? They use the horse trails instead. 
Why? I'm assuming it's because the horse trails  have more hills to allow the 
bikers to shoot  up in the air. (I am only guessing. It may be also they 
don't want to contend with other bikers.) They cause a lot of 
destruction...they'll chop down a tree or four to make ramps that they then 
leave in the middle of the trail. Again, I think the ramps are to shoot a 
bicyclist up at high speed, because the area about twenty feet downhill from 
the ramp is always torn up and smashed. This tears up the soil and the forest 
floor, leading to erosion in our constant rains, etc. (not to mention the 
damage to the vegetation)
They're also not adverse to digging pits in the trails, as well, for whatever 
purpose I cannot fathom. I am paranoid enough to think it's to keep riders 
off of the horse trails. Of course, since it's on the horse trails, the 
horsemen are catching the blame. Yeah, right, like I'm going to race my horse 
down a hill and up a ramp so he can fly?

After having some testosterone charged 16 year old  multi-pierced punk on a 
bike almost hit me on the trail and yelling "get out of my way you stupid 
m-----r f----r!!!"  I'm about ready to strangle any mountain biker I see. 
Heck no.........the sheriff's kid is one of the worst offenders...........the 
sheriff just laughs......
