Re: RC: How to tie to Brenderup trailer
I have an older Brenderup - about 12 years old (where does the time go?). I
tie to the bolt that holds the bar that goes across the front of the stalls
in the trailer. It was impossible to tie long to as it was. The front of
the trailer tapered, a perfect place to catch a rope. I ended up asking my
engineer father to come up with a scheme to make it safe to tie to. I moved
the spare to the front (mounting bracket and all). (I was mostly doing
NATRC at the time, so tying to the trailer was the only option.) I have a
large plywood board to cover the wheel well and space between the support
and fender, along with alot of smaller pieces to make all smooth and (so
far) no places to hook a rope on (I actually have boards for both sides, so
I have a choice on which side to tie to). My dad come up with an ingenious
way of holding it together without anything sticking out to hang rope up on.
Luckily I go by myself - I carry the boards bolted to the wall inside the
trailer in the right stall. It is a pain to take up and put down, but it
does work.
