Re: Re: ridecamp-d Digest V00 #16
I get very sad when I think of our farm we sold in Missouri earlier this
year. An 80 acre cattle farm with a three-story Victorian farm house 2/3
remodeled to it's original form, all fenced and cross-fenced with two ponds
and a wet-weather creek. The house sat in the middle of the acreage on high
ground. A 360 degree view of trees and green hills. Only two neighbors in
eyesight! And a 45x 60 barn with stalls, and four other large outbuildings.
We practically had to give it away for $140,000. It was my dream home for
nearly ten years.
It was barely a down payment on the house we bought in Colorado. It's
amazing the difference in property values in various parts of the country.
And to beat all!, we had to build a horse shed on the new property. It
had only a house and small shed.
