question about eggbars
I have used eggbar shoes with snowpads on the front feet for endurance and
they lasted very well, until a ride vet remarked that my horse had kept them
on so well for a season and a half. During that very ride, one came off, and
I wasn't carrying a replacement, so we had to use an easyboot. He did not do
well with an easyboot on one foot and the eggbar on the other.
So I guess the moral of the story is that if you're going to go with eggbars
just carry a spare with you. They last through a couple of shoeings with hard
riding, and are cheaper than the plastic shoes.
