I, too, have used 50/50 (or just pour some in water, guesstimating) bleach 
formula many times for rainrot.  My VET is the one who told me, if you want 
his phone number e-mail me privately!  My actual preferred treatment for 
rainrot is:  wash horse with antibacterial soap, let soap soak on horse for 
15 minutes, rinse off soap, thoroughly, rinse with bleach solution, DO NOT 
rinse bleach off, let horse dry in the shade before turning out.  If it is 
really bad as in all over the hind qrtrs, repeat 2 days later.  Been using 
same thing on about 40 different horse for 13 years now.  Try a small weaker 
solution at first if you are worried, just to make sure horse is not 
sensitive.  Hope this helps.
