Re: RC: Racism?
Hi Brooke
Yes I wondered what happened to you this vacation. Come up some weekend;
we're only 40 minutes away. Yes, first foals CAN be smaller; however,
Streetdancer is only 14.1 on a good day and her first foal, by Hal grew
to 16hh. He was trained at Los Alamitos by Jeanne Pacheco who said he
was the fasted thing she had trained since Fast Ptrack, a record setter
and stakes winner. Unfortunately they put him next to a mare in heat
just before his first race and he buggered up his leg trying to climb
the stall wall. Last I heard, Mel had sold him to an endurance rider
because, although the injury would preclude him from the rigors of flat
track racing, the vet thought he still would be good for anything else
including endurance; he had recovered well.
Does anyone know how this horse has done in endurance? His full name is
WOA Halys Comet and he is a 16hh gray, probably a gelding now?
Thanks
Bette
