I know ... the Tevis for example...
At the WEC in Dubai, it was also a problem because of the desert (difficicult to reach crew point and being stucked in the sand)... there we took also syringes in the saddles bags and stopped every hour or so to administer Carbo or Electrolytes; they had well bottles (mineral water!!!) and water buckets every 5 Kms on the trail... so everything was manageable

Hi Leonard - some of the rides here forbid crew contact with rider/horse
teams except at official vet checks, so to use CC or other supplements
on the schedules we've been talking about here on the list, riders have
to come up with something easy to carry & administer while riding
in-between vet checks. And take their own photos on the trail, too!
